And if you really want a chicken-dinner IN PUBG, then you must have a good GPU. They really need a very high-end Graphics card. It is always possible that you will find many types of hardware that can enhance your gaming but choosing the best one adds the essence to your gaming and gives you the best gaming experience ever. Well, the world of gaming is revolutionary and keeps changing and so does the gaming peripherals. You might be in search of the best external graphics card for your laptop or P.C. Plus they have to pay royalties to have HDMI ports. If the answer to this is yes, then you may know that the gaming world is upgrading day by day. So essentially, the soundcard doesn't add enough benefit to justify the cost, and the card makers know this, so they don't bother. The soundcard was only giving me ALchemy support for EAX, and the option to use CMSS-3D/Crystalizer, which wasn't required since I was using a true Home Theater grade setup.įor stereo upmixing to multichannel, I used Foobar2000's foo_channel_mixer DSP, which gave me much better control of the surround effect vs CMSS, and subsequently better results. The receiver also has a plethora of surround mixing options to upmix stereo to multichannel, has Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, and a built-in EQ, and handled all bass redirection to the sub. Also, the receiver's headphone output was better/stronger than my soundcard's for when I used headphones. The model I have has a high-grade Burr-Brown DAC (flagship model in the day), so outputting analog from the soundcard was a downgrade. When I used the Auzentech HD card, I was outputting to a Yamaha A/V receiver. An HDMI audio output from Creative's next prosumer/high-end card would be awesome. I like the Creative DSP, so this will be how it works for now. I now run two 1440p G-Sync displays, and use my receiver via analog (kinda rare for receivers now, but this avoids latency that I cannot ignore with optical/DTS encoding/decoding). I did not try that because I was running a 4K monitor at the time and the receiver is not 4K. Software can handle ensuring windows remain on the primary monitor as well.Ĭloning might work but I don't actually know if that will negate G-Sync, since the receiver isn't. What worked for me in the past was setting up the receiver as another monitor, and making it more or less inaccessible by dragging that over to a corner in the display layout. But it is very pure, in another sense, too. The Nvidia/AMD implementation for audio is super dry. At the end of the day, you still end up without Creative's DSP.
